TiltBall is a single-player mobile game developed by Cemre Öncel. This policy explains what data the game does and does not process.
You do not need to create an account or provide your real name, email address, or phone number to play TiltBall. When the game opens, it sends an app-generated player ID, platform, and app version to our online leaderboard server. If you choose a nickname, that name is sent too. Your game results are sent when score sharing is on. Google AdMob serves optional rewarded ads.
The game stores the following information on your device:
Game settings stay on your device. The player ID, nickname, and game results you choose to share are also sent to our server as described below. The player ID is deleted together with the app when you uninstall it.
The game connects to our server at api.cemreoncel.com over
HTTPS. On launch, it sends an app-generated player ID, platform, and app
version. The server uses the ID to create or find your profile and records
the time of your latest connection. This happens even when the leaderboard
screen is hidden or score sharing is off.
At the start of a new run, the game creates a run record with the ruleset and app versions. Score sharing is on by default. When it is on and you have passed at least one obstacle, the game sends the obstacle count, highest level, run duration, and version information at the end of the run. The server uses these runs to calculate rankings and personal bests. Turning sharing off in Settings stops future run results from being sent; the launch profile connection and new-run records continue. This setting does not delete results already sent.
If you enter a nickname in Settings, it is sent to the server and may be visible to other players when the leaderboard is shown. Uninstalling the app does not automatically erase the online profile or run records.
TiltBall uses Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) to show rewarded video ads. Ads are optional: one is shown only when you choose to watch it in exchange for continuing your run.
To serve those ads, Google may process certain information about your device, typically including:
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; the developer has no access to it in raw form. Details:
On iOS the game asks you directly. On first launch a system prompt asks for permission to track, so that ads can be chosen to match your interests. You do not have to allow it: if you decline, the game works exactly the same and the ads you see are simply less specific. You can change your answer later under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; if the master switch on that screen is off, no app can ask at all.
You can also limit personalised advertising in your device settings:
TiltBall is not primarily directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
The game contains no analytics, crash reporting or social media tracking tools. We use our own server for the online leaderboard; it is hosted on Amazon Web Services and accessed through Cloudflare. Google AdMob serves rewarded ads.
You can erase local settings and your local best score by uninstalling the app. To request access to or deletion of your online profile and run records, contact us at the address below. For advertising-related data, use the Google tools described in the links above.
This policy may be updated when the game's data practices change. Updates are published on this page and the date above is changed.
